When I was in high school, I remember a catalogue filled with gag gifts and one of the items they sold was an official bullshit meter. Since we were all basically full of crap back then, and of course we knew it all, we ordered multiple bullshit meters and used them every time someone said something we thought was bullshit. I went to a competitive private high school where everyone was college bound. You can imagine how vicious it could get.
And when I found the following link to the official online bullshit meter, I couldn't resist posting about it.
PR-Experts, politicians, ad writers or scientists need to be strong here!
BlaBlaMeter unmasks without mercy how much bullshit hides in any text.

A useful tool for everyone involved in writing!
Simply copy your text into the white field and check your writing style. It works with English text up to 15.000 characters (overhead will be cut off). For a meaningful result we recommend a minimum length of 5 sentences.
I'm not sure how I'll use it in the future, but the possibilities are endless these days, from bloggers to book reviewers.
I already tried out the first paragraph of this post, and here's the result:
Your text: 385 characters, 70 words
Bullshit Index :0.02
Your text shows no or marginal indications of 'bullshit'-English.
I suppose I have to work on this. You can get there from here to check it our yourselves.
